Expression of Interest | ‘Creating Butterfly Canes from Polymer Clay’ Workshop

$60.00 $140.00

This workshop has been popular so we’ve decided to open expressions of interest for a future class. If you are interested in this workshop, please sign up for restock notifications below and if we get enough interest, we’ll run another session in the future (you will receive an email when it goes live to book in if you’d like to).

——————————————————————————————————————

In this brand new workshop, Siobhan will teach you, step by step, how to achieve a stunning butterfly wing cane from polymer clay that can be used in multiple applications.

You will firstly create a complex skinner blend plug of your choice of colours before embarking on transforming it into a spectacular butterfly wing.

The photos provided are examples of Siobhan’s work and demonstrate just how creative you can get with your butterflies.

For the more advanced students looking for more to do on the day, Siobhan will also teach you how to create a bottom wing and different wing patterns.

Please note: Creating finished jewellery is not the objective of this workshop – photos are for demo purposes only.

Why Do a Workshop with Us?
Here’s what makes us different from other creative spaces.

  •  All our Tutors are experienced in teaching and have many years of experience working with their respective mediums/in their field of expertise – for most of our tutors this is over 15 years experience.
  • Our workshop sizes are always small with usually no more than 8-10 students.
  • We provide a friendly, inviting space and cater for many challenges you may face  (health issues, food intolerances, anxiety, etc, etc.). Many of our students (and some of our tutors) suffer from chronic illness and have special needs. If you have any concerns, please feel free to reach out to Dani who will do her best to help you out;
  • We have a garden space that can be helpful to those who are on the autism spectrum or experience sensory overload – it can be a good space to retreat to in order to reset before returning to your workshop. We also have our studio pup – Kenzi Mae (our 3 year old Golden Retriever).
  • We use only high quality materials/products in our workshops and myself and our Tutors are familiar with how these work and can give you accurate information/answers to your questions;
  • Students are able to browse our 1500+ products and purchase if they wish to either before, during or after their workshop;
  • We offer payment plan options on most workshops as we understand that finances can be tight (please email if you’d like to take advantage of this);
  • We are fully insured and there is always someone on site who has a Level 2 first aid qualification and asthma management training. All tutors who are working with children have current, valid Working with Children Checks.
  • We offer ‘after workshop’ support for all our students. Students can ask questions of our tutors and refresh any information they need to after the workshop via email, phone or in our Facebook group especially for students.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out.
We look forward to seeing you at the Studio very soon!
