Another throw back to one of my favourite polymer pieces in my collection. I had so much fun making this. I love making art jewellery pieces but I haven’t made any for quite some time. Next year I’ll be prioritising studio time for creating.

For those of you unable to come and see us, I’ll be adding the new products to the website very soon. There’s also more kits due next week including some great creative kits for kids.

I’ve been busy over the last few days getting the studio ready for you all to visit.

Just a reminder that whilst lockdown ends for Melbourne on Friday, we are non-essential retail so we won’t be able to welcome you back just yet.

As you may know, I also made the difficult decision to cancel workshops for the remainder of the year.

However, I’ve got a few covid safe open days planned once we can reopen and I’ve got so many new products and gift ideas for you all to browse too.

I’ll keep you posted when we get more news about opening but in the meantime you can shop online and, with the travel limit lifted, you can come and do a non contact pick up 7 days a week here at the studio.

Are you going to come and visit when we can reopen?!

SCULPEY UPDATE I’ve been receiving so many mess

SCULPEY UPDATE

I’ve been receiving so many messages and email regarding Sculpey stock and when the next order is due.
I spoke to the distributor today and their order has been delayed due to freight issues again and also as there is a public holiday coming up.

The bad news is that we will have to wait a few extra weeks for the order to arrive and it likely won’t be a full order….again. The good news is that there is another order due just a week or so after this one. So, we should get a decent amount of Sculpey products around late November.

I know this isn’t ideal but we’re all doing the best we can to get stock here. There are apparently issues with getting raw materials to make the polymer clay and that along with the freight issues and increase in demand worldwide has contributed to the shortage.

I’ll keep you posted as I get updates but as always, sign up to restock notifications as these people will be the first to receive emails when the restock happens.

Happy Birthday Karen!
I miss you so much. And usually at the most random of times.

I think of you often. When Kenzi is playing with the toys you gave her, when I sharpen my pencil, when I’m buying herbal tea for the studio, when they release new Charlie Bears, when I’m organising workshops, when I’m putting up the Christmas tree in November…..the list goes on.

My life was so much brighter having you in it. You always lit up a room and inspired those around you.

For those of you who didn’t know Karen, she was an integral part of The Whimsical Bead from the early days. First as a student and then as a tutor. She was someone who had such a warm heart and a generous spirit. I am looking forward when we can all sit together and share our Karen stories.

Happy Birthday my friend. You’ll never be forgotten. 💗🎂🎁🎈
