July was a busy month here at the studio with workshops in a variety of mediums taking place. From Polymer Clay to Resin, Metal Work to Precious Metal Clay with some beading thrown in too!
Here's a little sneak peek.......

Kay's Metal Work Taster workshop was a brand new workshop, debuted here at the studio.
It is a wonderful concept, with Kay setting up 'stations' in the studio. At each station was a different technique - from rivetting, to making ear wires, to soldering, to fold forming - and so much more! 12 different techniques were set up and each student got to have a play with each technique.
A great workshop to try out techniques and see what they liked to do.

Another great workshop held this month was PMC Origami with Lara - another workshop debut!
It's one thing to be able to create beautiful creations from paper origami but imagine if you could create these designs in pure silver?! That's exactly what the participants in this workshop were able to do.
They made some amazing pieces.

Once again, another workshop debut was made with Dani's Polymer Clay surface embellishments. In this workshop, students explored working with silkscreens on polymer clay as well as using foils, leafing, chalks etc. Dani's also showed Students how to set clay into bezels, create beads, pendant and cabochons and how to use Magic Glos UV Resin. It was a fun filled busy day and as a result, we didn't get any photos taken! I'll have to try and improve on that next time!

This month's Simply Seed Beads workshop was a focus on Freeform Peyote stitch. All the students had a lot of fun and again, I didn't get any time to take photos!
Here's a photo of Karen's example pieces.

This month we welcomed Resin Art Duo, Leanne & Simon to the studio. They taught two half day workshops on resin art which was a lot of fun and the pieces that were created were amazing!
You can read all about the day and see lots of photos HERE.

Another great workshop held this month was our Fine Finishing Polymer Clay workshop. I only run this workshop generally once a year and it's always well received. Students are taken through the various options for finishing polymer - from leaving it matte, to semi matte, varnishes (what works and what doesn't), liquid clay finishes, UV resin and of course sanding and buffing (the easy way!!).
I had a wonderful group of ladies all join me, wanting to learn how to take their polymer art to the next level - and that they did!
Some amazing work was produced and I was so pleased with what they achieved.

Another month of workshops over but still quite a lot to go for this year.
Have you booked your workshops yet?!
