Polymer Clay Controlled Mokume Gane (with Texture Sheets)

$50.00 $110.00

Mokume Gane is an ancient Japanese metalworking technique which produces distinctive layered patterns. Mokume Gane translates closely to “wood grain metal” or “wood eye metal” and describes the way metal takes on the appearance of natural wood grain.
Mokume Gane can be imitated with polymer clay and it is a beautiful technique.

Mokume gane is a technique that lends itself so well to many forms of texture and there are many different variations of polymer clay mokume gane.

In this full day workshop, Dani will show you her secrets to create a controlled mokume gane stack with texture sheets.
Whilst this workshop will focus primarily on creating veneers/patterns sheets, Dani will also show you how to create beads and pendants from your patterns.

Please Note : Photos are for inspiration only. Students will be encouraged to create their own designs with assistance from Dani.

This class will run with a maximum of 10 students.
