Creating Faux Raku Effects with Polymer Clay

$50.00 $120.00

Raku is traditionally a process by which pottery is fired at a relatively low temperature and then moved while hot to a closed container with combustible materials (such as paper or sawdust) that ignite and cause a reaction creating colors and patterns in the pottery’s surface.
There are many wonderful faux effects that can be created with polymer clay and Raku is one of them.

In this full day workshop, Leanne will show students her secrets for creating beautiful, multi-coloured faux raku effect on Polymer Clay.
Students will create multiple veneers/pattern sheets and then have the choice of whether they would like to create some jewellery pieces to take home or simply create more veneers for use at home.

Leanne will also cover suitable finishing techniques for use with this effect.

Please Note : Photos are for inspiration only. Students will be encouraged to create their own designs with assistance from Leanne.

This class will run with a maximum of 10 students.
