Come and join Sandra as she shows students how to create dragons from polymer clay to be used for sculptural or jewellery purposes.

This full day class will be separated into two parts.
In the morning  you will learn how to make a little curled dragon that would make a lovely pendant or brooch and in the afternoon Sandra will show you how to make a sculpture using a similar sized dragon that will feature extra details including making small rocks, a nest, or a tiny treasure trove for your dragon to rest on – all techniques that can be used in future projects for stand-alone projects and/or for other sculptural pieces.

Some of the techniques explored will include;

– Shaping and sculpting a simplified dragon form;

– Various ideas to add pattern and texture to your piece;

– Embedding beads for eyes and decoration securely in your clay;

– Surface treatments to add finishing touches.

** Please note, this workshop is different from the kids class of the same name as more intricate and detailed sculpture techniques will be taught.
