‘Floating Dots’ Polymer Clay Workshop

Create your own jewellery set in your own colourway, shapes and sizes. Leanne will show you how to create the colourful, striking, polymer clay veneer, then how to make the pendant appear as if floating on the necklace.
You will also experiment with different colours and Leanne will show you how to get a beautiful shiny finish (or a matte one if you prefer!

This class will run with a maximum of 10 students.

Leanne has had a passion for creating art since she was old enough to hold a pencil.
With a career spanning several decades, she has found ways to express herself through several mediums, dabbling in watercolours, botanical illustration, pottery, mosaics patchwork and many other art forms.
Leanne studied Colour and Design at the Melbourne Studio of Art.

 

Skill Level:
This workshop is suitable for beginners and beyond.

 

Cost:

$120 plus kit fee of $40 payable to The Whimsical Bead on the day.

Price includes tuition, use of tools/equipment, morning and afternoon tea, tea/coffee.
Kit fee includes all the polymer clay you will need for the day (plus you’ll likely have some left over), a full bottle of quality UV resin (again, you’ll have lots left over to take home) plus a findings pack and consumables.

 

 

All bookings require a deposit with the balance to be paid on the day.

Bookings will be made on a first come, first served basis however a deposit must be made before your booking is secure.

What to Bring:

Everything you need is included in both the workshop and materials fees however if you’d like to, you can bring the following along;

  • Polymer Clay Tool Kit (if you’d prefer to use your own tools) ie. acrylic roller, tissue blade, craft knife, needle tool etc.;
  • Cutters/templates, if you have a particular shape you’d like to use on the day to create your pendants/earrings;
  • Baby wipes (for clean up);
  • Container to bring your finished/unfinished pieces home in;
  • Your lunch (or you can go into town on your lunch break);
  • Your kit fee;
  • Notebook/Pen/Pencil if you would like to take notes.
