The Whimsical Bead

Fine Finishing Polymer Clay | Mini Workshop

$30.00 $65.00

Take your polymer clay work to the next level by hand finishing to a professional look/standard.

Learn the secrets of finishing your polymer clay work to achieve the best results with the least amount of work and also how to achieve a perfect matte finish.

Like the look of sanded and buffed polymer clay but find it too much hard work? Let Dani show you how to effectively use sanding materials and what buffing materials to use for the quickest, most effective method of finishing your work to a mirror shine without the use of varnish.

We’ll debunk the theories on varnish – what can you use, what will react with polymer clay.

We will cover finishing your work with liquid polymer clay, renaissance wax and using magic glos.

We will also cover what you can do before baking to enhance the finish of your pieces and reduce the amount of fine finishing you need to do.

Dani will be happy to answer any clay questions during this time too.
This is a great class to take your claying to the next level.

PLEASE NOTE:  You will need bring some baked polymer clay work to ‘finish’. Please bring a variety of flat pieces and round pieces and some that you don’t mind ‘experimenting’ with.

Note : Images are examples of finishing and will not be completed in class.

This class will run with a maximum of 10 students.
