Learn how to create this striking ‘black opal’ look from polymer clay.
Leanne will show you which products to use and how to manipulate them, and the clay, to give this striking black opal effect.
You will also experiment with different colours and Leanne will also show you how to get a beautiful shiny finish.

Create several finished jewellery pieces on the day or experiment for the day and take your veneers home for later use – the choice is yours!

This class will run with a maximum of 10 students.

Leanne has had a passion for creating art since she was old enough to hold a pencil.
With a career spanning several decades, she has found ways to express herself through several mediums, dabbling in watercolours, botanical illustration, pottery, mosaics patchwork and many other art forms.
Leanne studied Colour and Design at the Melbourne Studio of Art.

 

Skill Level:
This workshop is suitable for beginners and beyond.

 

Cost:

$120 plus kit fee of $45 payable to The Whimsical Bead on the day.

Price includes tuition, use of tools/equipment, morning and afternoon tea, tea/coffee.
Kit fee includes 4 blocks of polymer clay, use of lusters, full bottle of quality UV resin (you can take the remainder home), a findings pack, consumables.

 

 

All bookings require a deposit with the balance to be paid on the day.

Payment plans are available so please do not hesitate to contact us if you require this option.
Bookings will be made on a first come, first served basis however a deposit must be made before your booking is secure.

What to Bring:

Everything you need is included in both the workshop and materials fees however if you’d like to, you can bring the following along;

  • Polymer Clay Tool Kit (if you’d prefer to use your own tools) ie. acrylic roller, tissue blade, craft knife, needle tool etc.;
  • Cutters/templates, if you have a particular shape you’d like to use on the day to create your pendants/earrings;
  • Baby wipes (for clean up);
  • Container to bring your finished/unfinished pieces home in;
  • Your lunch (or you can go into town on your lunch break);
  • Your kit fee;
  • Notebook/Pen/Pencil if you would like to take notes.
