Mel Mahoney from Moss & Whimsy with Dani from The Whimsical Bead as her assistant.
Mel creates earthly, whimsical unique creations from many different mediums, including sculpture with clay or creating something from unusual objects found on her travels.
Mel is inspired by her lush surroundings, by mother nature and is driven by her need to create.
Mel has a current working with children check and a young daughter herself. She also has experience working with children and teaching creative kids workshops.
Dani is the owner/creator of The Whimsical Bead and has been creating with polymer clay for 13 years and that, along with metal, is where her passion lies.
Dani loves to teach and pass on her knowledge – particularly of polymer clay – and she feels very lucky that people want to learn from her.
Dani previously worked in the Early Childhood industry for 16 years and holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education as well as a current Working with Childrens check. She has First Aid certification as well as training in anaphylaxis and asthma management.

- There is nothing your child absolutely needs to bring with them however we recommend them either bringing an art smock or wearing old clothes in case they get dirty.
- Please specify during checkout/booking whether you will be leaving your child for the allocated time or if you would like to stay with them (we support you in your decision however we do encourage you to leave the room if you stay for at least a good period of the workshop to allow your child to explore their creativity!).
- You will be sent a Confirmation of Booking email a few weeks before the workshop. In this you will be asked to provide your contact details for the duration of the workshop, any allergy/health issues that your child has, and any extra information that you think we need to know about your child. You will not be permitted to leave your child in the studio without us having this information.
If you would like to book a position for this class, you can do so online (preferred, so we all have a copy of the transaction) or call Dani on 0412 662 179.
Once you have booked in, you will receive a manual ‘Confirmation of Booking’ email a week or two before the workshop which will include a booking reminder plus all the information you need for this workshop.
