‘Organic Metal Flowers’ Workshop

In this brand new workshop, Dani will teach you how to cut, shape and colour copper sheet by hand to create a beautiful organic  flowers.
You will also learn about cold connections, sealing techniques, colouring metal with heat plus more.

Colour choice is up to each individual student as is the final result – choose to make earrings, necklace/pendant or even a mobile hanging or garden ornament. Go where your creativity takes you!

Dani from The Whimsical Bead
Dani is the owner/creator of The Whimsical Bead and has been creating with polymer clay for 15 years and that, along with metal, is where her passion lies. Dani loves to teach and pass on her knowledge and she feels very lucky that people want to learn from her.

 

Skill Level:
This workshop is suitable for students of all skill levels.
Beginners are more than welcomed and encouraged.

 

Cost:
$120 plus a materials fee of $30.
Price includes tuition, use of tools, colourants, consumables, morning and afternoon tea, tea/coffee.
Materials fee includes copper sheet, rivets, etc.
You will have enough materials to create multiple flowers.


 

All bookings require a deposit with the balance to be paid on the day.

Payment plans are available so please do not hesitate to contact us if you require this option.
Bookings will be made on a first come, first served basis however a deposit must be made before your booking is secure.

What to Bring:

  • Metal hole punch (if you have some or borrow ours);
  • Metal Shears (if you have some or borrow ours – or purchase on the day);
  • Pliers – Chain Nose, Round Nose and Cutters  (or borrow ours);
  • Face Mask;
  • Your lunch (or you can go into town on your lunch break);
  • Notebook/Pen/Pencil if you would like to take notes.

Once you have booked in, you will receive a manual ‘Confirmation of Booking’ email a week or two before the workshop which will include a booking reminder plus all the information you need for this workshop.

 

Extra Information Regarding COVID:

 

Please note, COVID safety measures will be in place on the day. These may vary from workshop to workshop according to current government regulations. You will be required to sign in (digitally via QR code preferred as per government guidelines) and hand sanitise your hands. There may be other safety measures in place on the day as directed by industry guidelines.
We ask that you remember that we are a home based business run by someone with chronic illnesses. Many of our visitors are also immune compromised. Please do not visit the studio if you are unwell in any way, have recently had a covid test and are awaiting the results or have been in contact with someone who has been unwell. If you arrive to the studio and are seen to have covid symptoms you may be asked to leave. We ask that you please respect our guidelines when entering the studio to keep yourself and everyone attending, safe.
