metamorphosis  met·a·mor·pho·sis
n. pl. met·a·mor·pho·ses

  1. A marked change in appearance, character, condition, or function. Also called ‘transformation’

At the moment I feel this is an appropriate word to describe The Whimsical Bead.   In 2006, we started off as a small store selling a selection of beads and findings. 2011 nows finds us selling off the beads and specialising in polymer clay and all that surrounds this wonderful medium. The direction of the business – and myself personally – have done a complete turn-around. Goals have changed and new passions ignited.

Today I am happy to announce the launch of our ‘refreshed’ website.  A front page has been added, making it easier to navigate the site and I now have a page to showcase my own personal creations – ‘The Gallery’.  Entries in this Blog will hopefully become a bit more frequent too but I’m not making any promises on that!!

My resolution for 2011 was to ‘start ticking things off the list’ – a huge goal after the obstacles I’ve run into over the past few years, both professionally and personally. With this launch comes a sense of achievement.  ‘The Gallery’ is a big step for me to start persuing my creativity further – exhibiting more, pushing my artistic boundaries and having more confidence to show my work to the ‘outside world’.

I hope that you are as happy with the new changes to the website as I am (thank you to Richard from Technology Matters!). I’d love to hear your feedback so please leave me a message or send me an email. Thank you to all of you who have been loyal followers, customers and friends for the last few years – I feel like I’m ‘on my way’!
