Aluminium cuff blanks have been very hard to find here in Australia for quite some time now and I am pleased to announce that The Whimsical Bead will now be stocking them! We’ve got 4 different widths which can all be pulled out to fit many different sized wrists.
Cuff blanks are extremely versatile. You can use them as bases for polymer clay cuffs – see below for some of my creations. You can also use them for stamping on which is very popular at the moment and as a base for bead embroidery cuffs. Have a look at Sherry Serafini’s website for some gorgeous embroidered cuffs.
These cuffs are more lightweight than using brass cuff blanks and the aluminium cuffs are also a cheaper alternative.
If you want to have a go at claying a cuff, why not use my polymer clay cuff tutorial which is in this month’s issue of Australian Beading Magazine (Issue 4.6). If you need any help just email me.
