Some people find the thought of working with these tiny little beads quite daunting but in actual fact it can be quite therapeutic.
Beading with seed beads can be as simple or as complex as you choose - from small, simple embroidered pieces and ropes to complex cuffs and collars.
Seed beads are also great when incorporated with other mediums such as lampwork and polymer clay.
We have regular seed beading workshops that are held at The Whimsical Bead studio approximately every 4 - 8 weeks and taught by, Karen Donald of Karen's Jewellery 4 You.
These workshops are full day (or half day) workshops where students can come and learn a new seed bead technique or treat these workshops as an Open or Tutored Access Session where they can bring along a project they've been working on at home and may be stuck on or learn a new project from a previous 'Simply Seed Beads' session that they may have missed. These sessions are great way to socialise with other beaders whilst learning something new too!
We also have other seed beading tutors come to the studio on occassion to teach specialist techniques, usually these are held with the extremely talented Catriona Starpins.
