Today I have some sad news to share with you.

As most of you would know, two years ago I, along with Jo, Kay and Prue, started a wonderful venture called Bead and Buy, with the idea of bringing the community together through their love of creating.

It has been a wonderful few years but unfortunately due to my ongoing health issues that I am sure you’re all aware of, and the stress associated with exhibiting, I have sadly had to resign from Bead and Buy and pull out of future events.

This was by no means an easy decision.

For me, running The Whimsical Bead is all about meeting wonderful ‘Creatives’, providing them with a relaxed yet inspiring space to be themselves and engage with other like minded people, and offering opportunities through workshops (and enticing products!) to further develop their creativity.
This, is NOT changing - nor do I expect it to in the future, unless it is to grow these intentions.

Whilst I am temporarily stepping away from supply exhibiting, The Whimsical Bead studio is certainly not slowing down.
I have a wonderfully dedicated ‘Crew’ and support team and as a result we will have even more on offer here at the studio in the New Year.

Almost 50 workshops will be on offer, plus we’re introducting several new initiatives including our ‘Creative Cheese & Wine Nights’ and our ‘Drop In’ Sessions. Plus our Creative Fun Day will be back along with our ‘Tutored Access’ and ‘On Location’ sessions.
We will also have the studio open more often for you to come and visit (although you’re always welcome to give me a call and let me know when you’d like to come!).
A new website is also on the cards, as well as a studio revamp, an outdoor studio/verandah revamp, several new tutors and lots of new products.

On a personal note, I am also in the process of setting up a new studio for myself so you will be seeing a lot more of my own work in the new year which will likely lead to more workshops, free demos/tutorials and who knows what else?! I’m looking forward to it - it’s been a long time coming.

I will certainly miss seeing so many familiar faces at our Bead and Buy events however I’m hoping that as The Whimsical Bead is only 30 minutes from the Ringwood venue, that you will come and visit me here sometime soon (don’t forget our Open Studio is on later in November).

Thank you all so very much for your ongoing support - I truly do appreciate it.
This is certainly not Goodbye from me, but more of a ‘get ready for the new chapter’……

Love Dani xx
